Matthew 5

...you are the salt of the earth and the light of the world... let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and give glory unto your Father who is in Heaven...

close call

Last week we were heading home after a 2 month tour... We had 1 show left and were about 20 hours from home. As usual, Dad was driving into the late hours of the night in order to get us to our next gig. It was about 3 in the morning, and unexpectedly, we were hit by a drunk driver...

He crashed into the front of the RV, spun around, and hit the back. It was probably the loudest and most frightening sound I have ever heard!

air bag in the passenger seat where Josh was sitting

boys up in the loft... "what just happened?!?!?"

kinda gross but, the toilet was ejected out of the little bathroom, into the hallway!

Everything came flying out of cabinets and drawers... glass bowls, food, school books, clothes, movies... everything!!!

4 ambulances came and transported all of us to the Lafayette, Louisiana hospital

Jord was strapped to the stretcher! haha :)

Oh yeah... this is the lap top Josh was doing his calculus homework on!! The air bag totally destroyed it! ... good thing that didn't happen to his face!

All of us safe, but exhausted at the hospital

A group of the doctors and nurses wanted a picture with us... they couldn't believe that we were making each other laugh in the ER! :)

Sure enough, we made it to our last show that night, and completed the two month tour!

By God's grace, everyone was protected from serious injuries... (just a few bumps and bruises). We are extremely thankful to be back home for a while... all in one piece! I feel like through this trial, I have been given a renewed love and gratefulness for each one of my family members, and a fresh excitement for life! Our whole family is so thankful to be under the protection of a kind, caring Savior! To God be the glory!
